
The Ice-Cream Man has been a critical darling: Finland’s largest newspaper Helsingin Sanomat described it as “a reader’s paradise” while the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE called it one of 2012’s “literary gems.”
Lipson is due to visit Prague, one of the main locations of her novel, in March. In April she has been invited to visit the London Book Fair as the guest of Literature Across Frontiers, an organization promoting intercultural dialogue through literature and translation.
